One thing to say at observation time-Blizzard!!! Hard to tell if skies are clear because of the blowing snow. Measurement is not accurate because of the high winds blowing the snow. The total so far is about 15 1/2" from the National weather Service. There are 4 to 4 1/2 foot drifts at my site, but out in the open areas the drifts will be much larger. Winds gusted up to 50 mph at times. Most everything is shut down. Wind is out of the Northwest, steady at 18 to 20 mph, with much higher gusts. Temperatures in single digits. |
