Although we have had some sunshine today,most of it
was somewhat cloudy,mild,breezy,before the severe
thunderstorms moved through area.
The severe thunderstorm rolled through around 3:39p.m., this afternoon,with heavy rain first this
lasted until 4:30 p.m.,when the rain became for a
short time steady, it became heavy again at 5:00p.m.,
lasted until 5:30 p.m.,and stayed steady to light until 9:00 p.m., this evening.
Out of that heavy rain we got lightning,thunder,and
windy conditions,no wind damage noted,although there
was a tornado watch out for our area,most of the
tornadoes that were sighted, or possible tornadoes
sighted was to our east toward Winston - Salem,
Greensboro,High Point, and points east,some possible
to our south.
our 24 hour rain fall total: 1.04 inches received

During this time we received a severe thunderstorm,
with bright lightning, at times sharp lightning,
loud thunder, and very heavy rains, clocked at
3.40 inches an hours, by my weatherveiw32 computer
system,our highiest winds during the thunderstorm
was clocked at 24.m.p.h, at 8:04p.m., out of the
n.w. to w. ,update on our 24 hour rain fall
received 1.29 inches of rain with more possibly
expected later tonight, and tomorrow. |
