My snow board has never been this heavy with 0.6" of frozen precipitation accumulation. I had to scrape the ice off with my wind shield ice scraper. New snow did not add to yesterday's snow depth. Heavy freezing rain and wet snow must have compacted the old snow. Roads are not icy buy covered with slushy snow.

1/25/2010 7:00 AM 0.07 1.6 M 17.0 M Blizzard. No need for wind wane to determine wind direction. Blowing snow creating constant streamline. One can also visualize the dynamic pressure distribution around buildings. Once the blowing snow settles on the ground, creates a very crusty layer which allowed me to walk on top of snow without sinking. Determining snow depth is almost impossible. I just added the amount on my snowboard to the yesterday's snow depth. I will be able to assess it better this afternoon in the daylight.
