Well, this is my first winter storm as a CoCoRah and already have met my demons, as expected. The wind has blown my whiteboard totally clean. Had to take many, many readings in order to get what i feel might (????) be an accurate snow depth for the 7am reading. At least there was snow in my gauge! I have a feeling that conditions here will only allow me to tally new snowfall due to our blowing and drifting here. Life on the prairie is harsh. Right now the snow does seem to be tapering off, but there is much blowing and drifting. |
