I submitted a significant report earlier. The snow ceased shortly after 7:00 AM but high winds continue. The snow depth averaged 4 inches of new snow but drifting in the area of the guage was 6 inches. I am trying to plow our extensive steep drivways with my 4 wheeler low because I have not mounted the plow on the truck. County Rte 19 (St Lawrence Co) is well plowed but the driveway at the road is about 3 feet of hardpacked snow...our phone lines are still out but have cell phone too.. walt |

The snow here was seriously affected by yesterdays high winds ( in 30 mph range) all the snow was blown off the big white pines and ground etc.. mixed with sime new snow. white-out conditions at times and local schools and some businesses were closed..My location is on a high bluff in the edge of the woods at Cedar Lake and this location is very difficult to get accurate readings when there is serious winds.. hikers going into the lake tell me the snow in protected areas is much deeper...I will report only what I can see in my area as it is extremely difficult for me to go through the whole private area taking measurements..I am 83 years old and counting...

It snowed after midnight to accumulate 2 inches average around this area. overcast sky, 0 precip now, temp is 32 deg F, wind is calm with a slight movement from the East.
