32° .dense fog..snow fall began last evening at aprox 8:25 pm, 2 inches had fallen in 50 minutes,after almost 4 inches the snow changed to rain and continues to rain this morning .only new snow was measured as old snow varied to much and was only spotty .by this morning rain had compact the snow to a wet slush with just over 3" remaining.it is now a very heavy wet snow .there vis a 2 hour school delay in my district .current temp is about 32° there will be a melt when temps reach near 40° today,I expect minor flooding when from the melting run off..temps will drop into mid 20's thursday,friday and teens overnight friday with high winds expected thursday and friday .temps should not go above freezing until sunday when snow is possible.i expect a slippery windy next few days ahead .Winter is here and its comming in like a lion. |

here is core melt for 23.6 inches * 2.64 " water equivalent* aprox. I cut it transferred carefully into aluminum pan and melted with minimum evaporation than measured in gauge .
according to the county emergency services director I should prepare for 5-10 more inches Tuesday. |
