The low was 23F the temp at 5:45 was 33F. A total of 13 inches of snow fell here started about 3"30 a.m. on Wed 12/8 and ended about 7:30 that same day. The storm was a light and fluffy snow in the beginning but got lots more moisture in it later in the day, and ended up as a light mist in the early evening hours. so now the snow is very heavy and the snow banks are as hard as brick. We had snow squalls this morning that made traveling very slippery, am glad bus run is over. Sun shineing now and blue sky. Suppose to get quite cold.
But it sure is beautiful. |

Today 12/24 the low is 14F then it warmed up in the night and now it is 25F, when the wind is still it feels downright balmy, but that wind is still very cold. Yesterday 1/28 we had light snow starting about 8 A.M. snowed lightly until about 1:30 P.M. got maybe 1 1/2 ".
Then about 3:10 on bus run things really got interesting, we had an Alberta Clipper, a virtual white out for about 10 to 15 mins. Absolutly could not see anything, some of time I really did not know where I was, not a good feeling with a bus load of someone elses children, but all came out ok. Endned up with nearly 3" of snow.
Now the wind is howling have seen gusts up to 10 15 mph here in Halifax village. |

The wind blew the snow around so much yesterday it is hard to get a measurment of what is on the ground, the best I can measure is 5 1/2 ", I think all of the 'new' snow has blown into the next county or maybe MA. being were so close to the line. It snowed another 8" Friday 2/26 evening and snowed Sat. up until about 2 P.M got another 4". then the sun came out and we had beautiful blue sky for a few hours, beautiful full moon in the evening and stars shining. But guess what I woke to this morn ?? It's SNOWING again !!! So far just a trace but it's still coming down. I have moved enough snow for awhile, I'm tired of it.
