Precip amount is updated. The 0.53 in was based on what was caught in the gage during the storm. I've had a chance to get a good core sample and the new revised precip amount is 0.80 in. with 9 inches of snow on the ground. The snow during the storm was very light and fluffy and came down very heavy on Tue (2/8) sometimes at a rate of 2 inches per hour. Visisbility at times was only about 2 1/2 blocks, alot like a heavy fog at times. |

From about 9:30 am- 10:30 am light drizzle/mist fell in the amount of 0.02 inch. At about 9:30pm until about 10:30 pm a thunder storm moved in and rainfall in the amount of 0.29 inch fell for a 24 hour total of 0.31 inch. A lot of lightning and thunder with the storm and 40+ MPH winds. Apx 2 mil. north of this station in the same time period 0.01 inch fell in the am event and 0.17 fell in the pm event for a 24 hour total of 0.18 inch. Happy Birthday CoCoRaHs! |

At 10p heavy rain,thunder,lightning, and wind (40+ mph gust to near 60 mph)along with pea,marble and quarter size hail hit and lasted about 45 min. In the first 30 min over an inch of rain fell. The hail was light but steady. (some reports around town said up to golf ball size hail) total rain fall was 1.70 inch for the event. This report taken from apx. 2 miles north of reporting station. |
