At noon heavy clouds formed and at 2:30 PM very dark rain clouds were notrd in the southwestern skies. At 3:50PM first drops of rain began with winds becoming breezy and some thunder a\was noted. Moderate rain began at 3:00pm with some lightning and thunder, this continued until, 3:l5 pm , at which time, gusty winds and heavy rain began and continued to 3:40pm. It also had many hugh lightning and thunder bolts but the winds were quite calm. Clear to partly cloudy in the AM. Mostly cloudy in the PM. Overcast skies by 6:00PM. A storm came in at 8:00PM with heavy rain and numerous huge bolts of lightning and thunder. At approx. 8:20PM strong and very gusty winds blew in with pea to marble sized hail. This hail shower lasted about 5 minutes. but the ground was generally covered. Total length of storm was about one half hour. |
