It was 82 degrees, went down to 73 in a matter of 15 minutes. That's because it started raining after 7:55 pm and I have 0.04 of an inch. " No relief in sight " , The Sun News July 23, 2011 headline of that day. Kinda' got it wrong, for my area. Started around 3:00 pm ending sometime around 6:00 pm. Within my development of houses built by inept contractors we had a power outage at 3:48 pm. It also rained near by that "Hornet Fire". Either the rains missed it entirely of hit it in part just enough to make the fire really angry. Cuz them cinders made big clouds of smoke that woofed their ways across Highway's 22 and 90, darkening out everything within sight. Eventually making its' way up my neighborhood around 10 pm. Earlier in the day I was around Hwys. 90 and 22 at about 3pm watching the lightning blow up stuff right across the street. |
