By 1400L, it stopped, the snow came out and most of the snow melted. A snow squall moved over the area from the Peninsula at 1455L with a wind gust to 33. Light snow showers occurred twice more after this at 1550 and 1700L.///

I observed small hail a few miles to the W at Greenbrier Mall and hail was reported at numberous locations in Chesapeake & Va Beach and I believe it fell here even though I wasn't at my house. Due to the cold air aloft associated the with upper low in the area, the temperature dropped from a the mid 70s to 60 in a matter of minutes once it started raining.

Small tree limbs were down in my backyard. Big tree limbs where downed in my neighboor. The first storm produced only 0.05". A second storm moved through between 23-00L with a peak wind of W 32 mph. 3rd storm occurred between 0345-0415L with moderate to heavy showers and isolated lightning. Total for storm 2 and 3 where 0.38". Power remains out at my house.

It was followed by light showers off/on for an hour as thunderstorms redeveloped to the NE over the S Ches Bay/Atlantic Ocean after leaving the Peninsula and left most of metro Southside Hampton Roads high and dry. The heavy winds did manage to rip some siding from the top right portion of my house under the highest point of the roof.///

During the hail part, the wind was blowing it horizontally against the front part of my house up against the windows.///

The retention lake was up 4-6' onto the shore line. My barometer dropped to 28.538", which is the lowest I've ever observed in my 31 yrs. The strongest winds where actually on the backside of the storm from the evening until sunrise.///
