The rains began falling just before 8 p.m. and we ended up going through about three bands of storms. The first band looked the worst actually, but produced no lightning or thunder. The second band produced tornado warnings just 14 miles south of our area. That storm contained the lightning and thunder. All in all, about an inch of rain and much cooler temps. |

Ware County had a really good storm last night. It moved in quickly for i was in town and headed home and could barely outrun it. Lots of lightning, lots of thunder and wind, but only .25 in the gauge. |

The rain stayed to our south for a couple hours, just barely missing us. When it finally lifted north a bit, it had lost some of it's intensity. Just light rain, rolling thunder, a little bit of lightning. |

WOW.....What an awsome storm. Big storms formed north of our area and intensified as they approached. We got over an inch in a short amount of time. Big lightning strikes, loud booming thunder, but not much wind. Just across town i heard the winds were MUCH higher. |

I have to say that the storm we had last night was the worst i've seen in a while. There were reports of hail around my neighborhood, but none at my house. The lightning was the worst with cloud to ground striking everywhere. The RADAR was CRAZY looking with that big 'S' shaped storm upon us. What an evening..... |

Yesterday was soooo hot. And on the radar storms blew up in central georgia and got bigger and better and ever so slowely drifted south. And i watched.........and i waited. And sure enough, around 11 p.m. last night they reached the ware county area. LOTS of lightning and thunder. Really weird wind. Would blow really hard then abruptly stop. Maybe more of the same today? |
