10/1/2011 7:00 AM 0.15 T M 0.0 M Just a brutally cold day for the last day of September on Tuesday, complete with periodic showers under low clouds, with some very gusty northerly winds noted as well. Rain briefly mixed with snow into the mid afternoon as very chilly air aloft arrived.
10/2/2011 7:00 AM T T M 0.0 M Occasional flurries noted up until about 9 am on Saturday on a northeast flow off Lake Huron, before skies cleared into late morning. Lots of sunshine then prevailed through the evening, with clear skies overnight allowing lows to dip back into the lower 30s, with lots of frost around the area.

10/7/2011 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M 0.0 M Beautiful stretch of Indian Summer continues, with highs well into the 70s on Thursday. Higher dewpoints into the area brought a few wisps of fog just before and after sunrise.
10/8/2011 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M 0.0 M Spectacular day on Friday, with lots of sunshine (just some cirrus for the afternoon) and highs into the upper 70s! Very mild overnight, with a low only near 59 degrees.
10/9/2011 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M 0.0 M Another fantastic day on Saturday, with lots of sunshine (just some shreds of cirrus) and highs near 80, with gusty southwest winds making it feel more like late summer than mid fall. Fall colors have peaked across the area, with leaves beginning to fall rapidly.
10/10/2011 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M 0.0 M Another beautiful day on Sunday, with a chilly night overnight, as lows dipped into the middle 40s, with some light fog noted.
10/11/2011 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M 0.0 M Another great day on Monday, albeit with a bit of thicker high clouds rolling through the area (even mostly cloudy at times). Still, highs climbed into the middle 70s.

10/15/2011 7:00 AM 0.57 0.0 M 0.0 M Nice soaking rain over the past 24 hours, with lots of drizzle/light rain around the area on Friday afternoon giving way to a steady lake enhanced rain through the night. Very gusty west winds noted as well overnight, with gusts approaching 40 mph.
10/16/2011 7:00 AM 0.30 0.0 M 0.0 M Windy and raw/wet day on Saturday, with plentiful lake enhanced rainfall pouring in off Lake Michigan, and westerly wind gusts to 40 mph. Temperatures only in the low 40s didn't help matters much. Skies finally tried to clear into the early evening as deeper moisture exited out of the region, with skies clearing here after midnight.
10/17/2011 7:00 AM 0.04 0.0 M 0.0 M Great October fall day for much of Sunday, featuring blue skies mixed with some beautiful cumulus and a gusty west wind with highs into the lower 50s. Skies clouded up into the afternoon ahead of an approaching upper wave/cold front, with several rounds of showers developing through the late afternoon and early evening. A few lighter showers continued overnight, though with mainly clear skies by sunrise.
