An 8'section of wood (baffled) fence blew down and other heavy objects moved around the yard. (It wasn't safe to be outside because of the debris in the air.)

A week ago, NWS predicted a 10% chance of showers this evening and Sunday evening. By Tuesday, as I recall, the Sunday chance was gone, and by Thursday, the Saturday chance was gone. No chance of moisture was forecast for yesterday afternoon. But there were clouds in the sky, a very rare occurrence these days. And then, starting around 5:30 pm, a squall hit the Gallup area, and the dust flew! The skies were so darkened with dust when I went outside Safeway,at first I thought I was looking at rain but the parking lot was dry. Eventually, however, there were drops and even the smell of ozone. So this .01 inch is very precious as it brings my tally for the calendar year to 1.30 inches with the first precipitation in more than a month!
