Severe Storm hit this point at approx 4:40 pm with extreme winds, our unofficial estimate to be over 120 MPH, short heavy downpour & severe wind damage including more than 20 large mature pine & fir trees breaking off or uprooting within our view plus a wall of water traveling up Curlew Lake across the train trestle that was much taller than the trestle itself;this point also verified to have been witnessed by resident right next to trestle. Last night around dusk abundant lightening occurred mostly to our south and east-some a bit closer but most more than 20 miles away. With this an attempt at rain occurred but it never totally wetted the concrete or anything else. Lightening was still occurring at 11 pm that night.

While the low was offically 35 here at both my thermometer locations heavy frsot was observed on rooftops nearby, within view of my home. |
