A Drought Buster at 2.89 inches, 2.75 inches in last 12 hours, about 20% of our normal season average, about triple the 24 hr. forecast amount (NWS Reno). Winds to 60+ mid day yestd and squally rain in afternoon. High yestd. 48F and most of the rain fell at temps of 43F and lower which would mean a snow level of about 6kASL locally unless the air temps are inverted. Snow level was predicted to be 7-7.5k ASL. Moderate flooding, our ditch is bank full. If predictions portend for late Saturday/Sunday, a significant flood will take place in the Honey Lake Valley. |
