I was in Austin, MB yesterday at the agricultural museumn for an amateur radio event. There was a cloudburst at 15:45 CDT and another one within about 1/2 hour or so. Rain at times heavy enough to affect visibility, down to about 1/5 of a mile or so. Minor local flooding on the grounds. Left Austin at about 17:30 & drove all the way to Winnipeg in light rain. Checked my gauge when I got home at about 19:20 - it was 0.02 then. At the moment there is fog here - visibility about 225 meters (1/6 mile). Subsequent note - you might want to compare my report with that of station CAN-MB-41 for this date. That station is fairly near the museum grounds (within about 12 Km.). |

The reported rain was in my gauge at 7:15 - likely fell between 5:00 & 6:30. There was no rain during the drive home, although the streets were wet. |

Refer to my notes of yesterday. I went out yesterday at 11:45 AM. At that time there were some small puddles in the gutters, although the driving lanes on the roads were dry. I checked the gauge when I returned home about 3:15 PM, the reported rain was in the gauge then. I'm guessing it likely fell shortly after (an hour or so) yesterday's reading was taken. |

There was a couple of thunderclaps within the last hour or so, but apparently was south of my location. The official weather report said there was damaging hail (golf ball size) further north (south interlake area) overnight, but there is no evidence of any here. Take a look at what station CAN-MB-109 eports today, & that station is only about a kilometer south of me.

There was a loud thunderclap yesterday morning at 11:38, although the sky was clear. Over about the next 10 minutes or so, the sky clouded over & the rain started, & more thunder, although I didn't notice the lightning. I think it lasted for about an hour & a quarter to an hour & a half - not sure just when it ended. |

I was outside last evening about 8:30. It wasn't raining then, but had been raining very lightly - streets were wet, but a "rain shadow" under trees.
