In 20 minute period I caught .48 inches of rain in the gauge. Classic fast moving summer thunderstorm with lots of ground to air lighting strikes. |

Left overs from yesterday storm drop of 4.23 inches which ended around 7:30am. Temp mid seventies, clear blue sky with a couple high wispy clouds, and heavy dew. River at Des Plaines is at 7.11 feet; yesterday it rose 6 feet in less then 8 hours. Never have seen that rapid a rise. |
