Since early August I've been moving a few miles from my original station and haven't set-up my gauge. But I must report a thunderstorm - with rolling, booming thunder that passed-thru last night. Between 7 - 8 p.m. rain fell in torrents and "sheets," with hail hitting the car. By 7:30 p.m. I couldn't see the road and pulled into a parking lot. The deluge of rain ended by 8 p.m., although lighter showers continued intermittently. During the heaviest rain I was driving a Wayne County road from Beach Lake PA down to Milanville, near the Delaware River. Before the storm yesterday it was VERY HOT - reached 95° when I was in Carbondale PA.
