We saw a potent storm hit the region last night and this morning. Last evening rain started at 1730 and ended at 2205. Sunday was dry. We saw snow change to ice pellets and then rain this morning. Snow started at 0110 and ended at 0530. Snow then began again at 0700 and became ice pellets at 0725. Freezing rain mixed in with ice pellets at 0740. Ice pellets ended at 0745 and freezing rain continued until 0825. At the beginning of the event we still had 1.0" of snow on our snowboard. By 0530 (when the snow ended the first time) we were up to 1.6" on the snowboard with .07" of liquid in the precip can. Between 0700 and 0800 we saw snow, ice pellets, and freezing rain. We saw a hundreth of precip which was mostly ice pellets, and only a trace was snow. Between 0800 and 0825 (when the event ended) it was all freezing rain and we saw .01". This event totalled .09" of liquid. 0.6" of snow, 0.01" of sleet, and 0.01" of freezing rain. The sleet and freezing rain decreased the snow on our snow board to 1.5" at 0825 this morning. |

We saw a negatively tilted trough move through after a front on the 29th. The front and its precip fell before ob time on the 29th and is on yesterdays report. The rest of the precip fell after ob time on the 29th. The next event occured at 1130 and ended at 1240. This brought us a period of moderate rain fall and we saw .15 between 1225 and 1235. The next event started at 1250 and ended at 1515. This brought us .14" The last shower occured betweeen 1715 and 1745. This brought us an extra .01" of rain. We saw rain and thunderstorms yesterday during the late afternoon and evening. The first storm started at 1635 and ended at 1730 and we saw 0.01". The next storm occured between 2025 and 2055 and we saw 0.15". The third storm came through between 2135 and 2215. This brought us 0.07". Rain between 0040 and 0115 brought us a trace. Then we saw rain between 0210 and 0500 and this brought us 0.32"! Our last shower this morning occured between 0530 and 0655 and we saw 0.01". In total since our last ob we have seen 0.56"!
