The rain appears to have ended by midnight. Until yesterday, only 0.15" had been recorded since July 20th. It was the wettest day since June 26.

Since the onset of the rainy season on the 12th, we have picked up 5.20 inches of rain, well above average for the entire month.

The monthly sum is now at 5.57" which compares to the long-term average of 4.43" for the entire month.

Calendar year 2012 rainfall totaled 70.85" the most in the area since 1996 and was about 130% of the 1965-2011 average of several stations in the immediate area. It was the third wettest in those 47 years.

The coolest mornings of 53, on the 13th and 21st, were the warmest recorded as the coolest daily minimum of any month in my many years of observations locally.

RW+ fell again 0440-0450 with an estimated 0.25 to 0.30" in 10 minutes. Now the wettest September since 1986.

September rain total is at 7.46", breaking the local record set in 1986 of 6.98". Nearby Portland has shattered their record set in 1927, making it the wettest since records began in the early 1870s.
