Light sleet turning to light rain started by 10:00 am and continued all day. Temperatures fell from 40 degrees to 36. By 9:00 pm the rate of rain started to increase. By 11:00 pm the rate of rain was moderate with only an occasional gust of wind. The temperature jumped to 48 degrees. This morning the moderate rate continues, but with no wind.

At 7:30 am when out to get the paper, it was not snowing. When I looked again at 7:40 it was snow hard and and accumulating. At 8:00 am the .5" was already on the ground, the snow board, and the street. |

The heavy snow continued from 8:00 am until 9:23 am. The rate of snow slacked off to light until about 3:00 pm when it stopped. At 2:30 pm I took the measurement of 2.5" of snow and .24" of water. This morning's measurement is only .01 more. |

I doubt the validity of the reading since most of the snow is packed down into ice that seemed to be about a half inch before I hit a layer of ice that I could not get under. I picked a place in the shade closer to the house that was still soft enough to get under it and to measure dept. |

At 8:20 am light snow started and continued for and hour. By 10:00 am light freezing rain had started and continued intermittently until 3:00 pm when the pace of the freezing rain increased. It then turned to sleet and then snow. By this time everything was glazed in ice. The heavy snow continued and tappered off until it stopped by 3:45. Drizzle continued for 30 minutes before even that stopped.
I could not take a total snow/ice measurement since I could not permeate the ice at the bottom of the stack. |

Freezing drizzle that at 10:15 am resulted in almost a quarter inch of ice on surfaces. The temperature from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm stayed at 32 degrees resulting in icy walks and side streets. By around 6:00 the temperature had started to rise. By midnight the temperature was in the mid 40s with heavy fog. At 12:35 am I heard rain. This morning most snow is gone; the temperature is 53 degrees; and it is raining lightly. |

A light shower around 3:00 pm and again around 4:00 pm without any accumulation. At 7:00 pm we had a shower with lightening and thunder that lasted almost 30 minutes. After midnight we had another light shower. |

3:00 pm thunder; 3:35 light rain that lasted 5 minutes. 4:00 pm Thunder resumed; 4:35 pm light driven rain for about a minute followed by very light intermittent rain that ended by 6:00 pm. There was only .08" in the gauge. At 9:50 pm lightening resumed. At 9:55 pm wind driven rain and continued to 10:35 pm. |

The rain first started at 1:00 pm. It was so light that it was almost a mist. I went out at 3:00 pm and the ground under the trees was not yet wet. At 4:00 pm the intensity of the rain increased to a more traditional light rain. The rain ended by 6:00 pm. |
