Light rain fell from 7:00am through 3:48pm when it turned to snow and it continued through the night and into the morning. It was still snowing at 7:00am. We were snowed in for awhile and several trees suffered damage since they still had not lost their leaves. The guage contained a combination of rain (frozen) and snow and it yielded 1.11" of water. Ground snow measured 9.5" and it yielded 1:22" of water. The snow was accompanied by moderate wind and some of it blew past the guage. |

Sorry about the late report, but I had to dig through a waist-high drift to get to the guage; plus clear a path to my ground snow measuring site. The snow continued from 7:00am and stopped at 6:00pm. Skies were clear at daybreak. New snow measured 1.75" and it yielded 0.24" of water. Combined snow measured 9.25" and it yielded 1.10" of water. The guage contents measured 0.14". We had 3 power outages, and the county snowplow still hasn't made it out here! |

A very light snow fell most of the day and at about 6:30pm some blue sky appeared. Gauge contents yielded 0.24", and remaining snow measured 2.0" and it yielded 0.35" of water. The day's high was only 39, and the low was 25. A strange day when you add a 3.5 hr. power failure and the furnace not working! |
