But here's the thing, I've noticed that the acorns, black walnuts and persimmons are dropping off the trees very small and immature. The trees roots are close to the surface due to the drought trying to absorb any moisture. With the little bit of rain we did get, some of the larger trees soaked it right up to the top and they fell over, some just shed heavy limbs as they soaked up the rain. These are just some of my observations, I'm afraid the wild life will have a hard winter
