Both the inner and outer tubes have been cleared of cobwebs.Expectations are high on receiving significant rainfall beginning late today from the remnants of Patricia. Highly variable gust spread in wind speed. The wind goes from calm to very windy incredibly fast. When I close my eyes during the gusts it sounds like the shrubs and trees are boiling in water. Weird!!
Tornado watches in effect. Most heavier wind gusts seem to be associated with the rapid onset of rainfall......Some very minor wind effect. Mostly from small branches off shrubs and trees. A few lawn chairs were blown over too....No thunder heard or lightning observed...

Some fog present to....December rainfall total 4.70....KPNS NORMAL RAINFALL 4.50.....The slightly above average rainfall does truly reflect a more normal precipitation amount spread out equally through the month. Of course I need to add that the previous 4 months rainfall totals have been way over normal climo norms. The pattern for those months can best be characterized as "feast or famine" in that most of the rainfall in those months came in a 2-3 day linked event, also these months had 2-3 continuous weeks of no rainfall.....The rainfall pattern this month has been at least one rainfall event every 5-6 days......Back to normal? Stay tuned! |
