a light shower in the morning before 8am, then Heavy cluster of showers and storms observed off to our south and east around 1-2pm, but did not arrive in our location. However, cloudy conditions were observed most of the afternoon bringing "cooler" temps-we only capped out at 88 for a high yesterday which occured around noon. My daughter and others sighted a funnel cloud in the vicinity of SR 70 and I-75. According to local reports the funnel cloud did not touch down. Also thunder and lightning observed in the 11-12pm hour, but no storm arrived at our location. |

Witnessed a lightening bolt strike directly in front of our home on the street-saw sparks fly from strike. Another less intense storm arrived in the 9:30-10pm timeframe w/ lighter rain. Recorded 4.53 inches of rain for month of July. |
