Rain was pretty steady much of the morning and into the afternoon with warm front related rain. The cold front brought a heavy shower around 2130 that brought a peak rate of 1.32"/h per Davis, but only 0.05" in that 10 minute period. (The 1030 reading was for 0.11", but a peak rate of only 0.35"/h. Hmm. That makes no sense. I don't understand how Davis computes the peak rate....)

Light rain and freezing rain casts doubt on my hourly precip data, as the morning started at 18°, reached 32° at 1500 and is all the way up (sarcasm!) to 34° now. I ran into some rain that was expanding north while I drove south to work around 1000, so 1100 is a decent guess as to the start here. I did get a bucket tip at 1230, then I think the funnel iced up until it gradually thawed out when it warmed above freezing.
