A Halloween to remember in the this area with heavy rain much of the afternoon, eclipsing the daily record set in 1994. In my 51 years of record keeping, this was the first time I had ever recorded more than inch an hour with 1.12" between 1355 and 1455 and an equally impressive 2-hour amount of 2.11" between 1355 and 1555. My 24-hour maximum was 3.82" up through 1900 in the evening. A drier than average October ended up with 158% of my long-term mean, as my official totals go through 2100 in the evening. |

Clear and 31° this morning with some of that stratus hanging around the foothills at the mouth of the Gorge that often occurs in east wind situations. It was the first "non-cloudy" day of the month with full sun. Total December precipitation ended up at 18.18", the wettest month I know of in the Camas area in recorded memory.
