1 rabbit hanging about. No deer, 5 turkeys, when they feel up to it, several Chickadees, crows, blue-jays and ladybugs. Stinkbugs are few this year. Timberwolves are taking over the terrain, as the Wiley E.Coyotes have moved on. |

The black weasel was seen. This is more than likely the white fella seen in the spring, with a black tipped tail. In good shape and a fast runner. Not a lick of fat on him. Lucky weasel. |

The cooling winds have started 12 hours ahead of time.
Brolly is down, so we won't need to look for it Sunday. No weasel seen for the report, no squirrels, or any wildlife except the always present crows, and chickadees. Safe to say we've passed the peak foliage, as the oaks are losing leaves. They hang in to the end. Bit early, but everything's gonna be fine this winter. You can trust me, I'm not like the others. |

No weasel, no squirrels, I think they packed it in for safety. I heard parts of Mass. got snow. Lucky ducks. Happy Snow Day to those in Mass. that lucked out. Snow level in NH is 200 feet. Most of the leaves have dispersed wher mature intended. Oak trees still defiant, but dropping the leaves slowly and reluctantly. |

Brolly's in for the next 6 months, (deck Brolly), wind is still an annoyance, as it brings wind chill down. After losing over 100 LBS, I'm not as resistant to the cold as I was in the past. Puss Puss is done with her shed, and is utilizing by covers as a heatiing spot before the daily snooze. The whole lot of felines (5) can pick up the scent of roast turkey slices in 3 seconds. Fast movers for their age. I wish I could move that fast. |

Not much for animal activity, except, a squirrel's been grabbing mouthfuls of leaves, and running up the same tree with them. An Evergreeen. Said squirrel's gone as far to grab twigs with leaves. Also, said squirrel has refused interviews with media, as to how this winter will be. Said squirrel said "that's the groundhog's job". |

Only one wild dog heard. I assume it was wild. It might see things differently. We've seen and heard robins all winter long, so possibly feeding spots I'm not aware of. They refuse to have interviews. Probably concernerned how the media would spin the story, understandably. |

Got to 44.2° in West Swanzey, The dead turkey was taken care of by the crows.A few feathers floating about. I still think it fell from a tree, and broke it's neck. Crows began texting the next morning. By afternoon, just feathers.Snowpack has shrunk, and quite fast. about 2 inches left of the 9 we started with. Buckeye Seth WTAM 1100AM was the best forecaster of the groundhog community. Producer at Mike Trivisanno Show He's in Cleveland. He couldn't see his shadow through the smoke from his cigarette he was enjoying. Happy summer, as it appears to be in a hurry. |

Good chance this snow event will be a multi-day report. I changed the batteries in the outside temperature probe, also good chance I threw away the new batteries by mistake, because Puss Puss wanted to play. Still reads "-- --.--°F. I'll try a replacement again in the snowstorm. Feel my pain. It might be not reporting because my sister parked the vehicle 4 feet from the probe. MIGHT, which is unlikely. I'll say nothing and change the batteries again on the sly. No one repeat this. |

Peepers are peeping. Loads of sun, way too much sun. Puss Puss is happy the window in my room is open. She had a few chatters at the crows, one while she was sleeping. Summer is moving in. Trees are budding on time. Oaks, as usual are in no hurry. 1 rabbit having dinner, he's been around all winter. Sparrows have decided to re-use and fix a nest from 2 years ago. Should he hearing the buzz of the hummingbird next to my ear this coming week. Other than that, pretty much nothing. |

Our squirrel population is gone, no chipmunks, no feild mice. On the good side, there are 5 owls. I wonder if there's a connection? No deer, but plenty of birds, and of course angry Hornets. They need therapy. |

Hummingbirds present, lots of them, no deer, as the flowers haven't opened yet, and something moving about in the woods last night that was clever enough to stay hidden. Afternoon, looked like no clouds, but the wind, not strong, carried rain onto us. It was cool looking up and seeing liquid glass looking rain come down. Drop direction varied with breeze direction. Puss Puss didn't see the crow, as the shade was down. Speak not a word about it. Thunder heard, radar show it, just to the south by 10 miles or so. Radio was clicking away from it (AM radio). Better luck next time, yeah? |

Got the rain in 20 minutes. Nothing severe, as there was no big wind, nor hail. Plenty of lightning coming through the AM radio (they still exist) and thunder so loud Puss Puss slept with her ears back. I saw a creature, looked like a cat, about Puss Puss' size, trotting up the driveway, when it got close enough to see (without the reading glasses), it stopped, because a cat (Puss Puss) made a noise inside,(jumping on the bureau with no drawers in it, long story) then carried on for a few steps, until I said "Good Morning, Mr.Fox". Then he booked into the woods on Turkey Hill. My guess is it means "run for your life" in fox language. I did hear 7 drops or sprinkles on the umbrella at 12:15AM. |

Hummingbirds have been gone for 2 weeks. Looks like it's time to take the feeders in. Past 4 years we had to keep them out to mid October. Rain gauage cleaning will be done by weeks end. I'll have to evict a spider, but those things need to be done. |
