Observation Date Observation Time Precipitation Snowfall Snowfall SWE Snow Depth Snow SWE Notes
10/5/2016 8:00 AM 0.08 M M M M One supercell passed to our north around 8-9 pm followed by storms passing mostly to our south 9:30-11pm. Spectacular lightning was observed with both.
10/7/2016 8:00 AM 0.25 M M M M Thunderstorms passed to our south on their way east. We had to make do with anvil rain. A strong cold front passwd through during the rain causing 40 mph wind gusts.
10/20/2016 8:00 AM 0.00 M M M M Thunderstorms fired up on a cold front around 6 pm to our north and then to our south at 7 pm. Of course we got nothing but nearby lightning strikes including one bolt from the blue.
11/3/2016 8:00 AM 0.66 M M M M Thunderstorms moved in as a broken line from the west finally getting us after others to our south slid to the northeast. We got winds to 30 mph and some nearby lightning.

12/3/2016 8:00 AM 0.27 M M M M Sent via CoCoRaHS Observer for iOS
12/4/2016 8:00 AM 0.45 M M M M On and off cold light rain fell through most of the day before tapering off in the evening. Another patch of rain swepth throigh overnight.
1/1/2017 8:00 AM M M M M M (Changed daily precip from 0.06 to NA. Original submission time: 1/1/17, 9:22pm. CK)
1/2/2017 8:00 AM 0.03 M M M M A dying band of showers passed overhead as an upper level system missed us to the south. With few prospects of precip coming the next week our new drought will be getting worse.
1/6/2017 8:00 AM 0.22 3.6 0.22 3.6 0.22 Moderate snow fell last night in the form of pure powder. I couldn't ask for better ski powder. Too bad there was only 3.6" of it.
1/7/2017 8:00 AM 0.01 0.2 0.02 2.8 0.22 Ongong snow showers didnt add much new snow. Overnight low got to 0F!
1/15/2017 8:00 AM 0.06 M M M M Mostly drizzle fell. All significant rain fell in every cardinal direction from us. But at least we escaped the ice.
1/16/2017 8:00 AM 1.61 M M M M Finally got some rain with occasional lightning when the main system came out. The biggest bands came in 7-10 pm.
2/14/2017 8:00 AM 0.84 M M M M Well the HRrR model was right that we'd be in a relative minimum of precip. But I'll take anything.
2/15/2017 8:00 AM 0.64 M M M M More rain continued through to 5 pm. A little snow was miced in at times but not so much that i could see individual flakes.
2/20/2017 8:00 AM 1.20 M M M M A squall line came in from the southwest with strong winds and very heavy rainfall rates. One weak meaovortex passed just west of us on its way to the north giving us 40 mph wind gusts.
3/25/2017 8:00 AM 0.07 M M M M Showers came with the passage of an upper low. Some fell in post dryline air with high winds.
3/27/2017 8:00 AM 0.01 M M M M A midday thinderstorm dropped hail west of us and jist a few drops here.
3/29/2017 8:00 AM 4.11 M M M M We got drenched wheb a line of thunderstorms drifted in from the west and then stalled overhead between 9 and midnight. Another line swept in around 2:30-3:15 am with high winds to 40 mph.
4/2/2017 8:00 AM 0.84 M M M M Showers and thunderstorms moved in from the south and kept training from that direction. But rain rate with each cell wasnt heavy. Rain began around 5 pm and lasted through midnight.
4/14/2017 8:00 AM 1.27 M M M M Thunderstorms passed overhead from the SW courtesy of a sharp upper trough.
4/18/2017 8:00 AM 0.02 M M M M Nearby thunderstorms missed us to the south around 6 am.
4/22/2017 8:00 AM 1.20 M M M M Most of the warm frontal thunderstorms missed us to the north where several inches of rain fell in the northern OKC metro area. We wound up with a few thunderstorms snagging us around 7 and 8:15 am before a large squall line with 50 mph winds swept in from the WNW around 10 am. We got marginally severe hail with the 8:15 am storm.
4/26/2017 8:00 AM 0.76 M M M M A sharp cold front managed to slow down to allow the upper wave and low level moisture to merge with it and generate thinderstorms in the evening. We missed tr supercell to the south but got hit by asto with 1/2" hail around 10 pm.
4/29/2017 8:00 AM 0.46 M M M M Warm frontal thunderstorms mostly missed us to the north resulting in a disapponting catch. In fact we had no thunder until 7 am.
4/30/2017 8:00 AM 0.65 M M M M Additional thunderstorms passed overhead in the mid afternoon ahead of an upper low and atop some cold air at the surface. More overnight showers fell.
5/11/2017 8:00 AM 0.54 M M M M Thunderstorm passed overhead 10-11 pm. Brief heavy rain and occasional lightning accompanied the storm.
5/17/2017 8:00 AM 0.84 M M M M Nocturnal squall line occasional lightning and 40 mph winds.
5/19/2017 8:00 AM 0.78 M M M M High risk day to NW. Here we had thubderstorms mid afternoon then 7:00 to 8:30 pm. The later ones produced strong SE winds that brought down numerous limbs and likely caused an undercatch with our gauge. Now have to check for roof damage after one limb landed with a loud thud.
5/20/2017 8:00 AM 0.58 M M M M We spent mpst of the afternoon and evening under a precipitating anvil of one MCS after another passing to our south.
6/2/2017 8:00 AM 0.06 M M M M Showers only from a dying line of storms.
6/3/2017 8:00 AM 0.02 M M M M Light rain from another dying line of storms
7/1/2017 8:00 AM 0.15 M M M M Wow, we got a little rain just before midnight with occasional lightning. Most of the rain fell under the anvil of storms to our south. This rain will do little to alleviate yhe flash drought that central OK is enjoying.
7/4/2017 8:00 AM 1.41 M M M M Well it apparently requires an unbroken state-sized MCS to ensure we get decent rain. Thats what we got last night which breaks a string of over 40 days without a quarter inch.
7/16/2017 8:00 AM 0.07 M M M M A severe thunderstorm formed in Moore and moved south then. Eered east before reachingn us. Another storm formed on the outflow to our aouth. So we are a have-not again.
7/24/2017 8:00 AM 0.05 M M M M Got missed again and this time even more astonishing. All sides of us got heavy rain to within a mile.
8/2/2017 8:00 AM 0.34 M M M M Light rain most of the day with temps only near 70F!
8/17/2017 8:00 AM 0.96 M M M M A line of thunderstorms rolled through 9-11 pm with frequent lightning and 40 mph winds.
8/23/2017 8:00 AM 2.45 M M M M Thunderstorms erupted jist to our east around 7 pm and then back built overhead giving us a short deluge with frequent close lightning and 40 mph winds. Anvil rain fell until 11 pm. The east aide of town got 5"!
8/25/2017 8:00 AM 0.03 M M M M Light showers here but flash flood warnings west of here.
8/26/2017 8:00 AM 0.13 M M M M Additional showers passed overhead on their way to joining the heavy rain in OKC.
9/18/2017 8:00 AM 1.20 M M M M We got hit with two thunderstorms, one at 1:30 pm with .45" and another at 3 am with .75". Both had close lightning strikes.
9/19/2017 8:00 AM 0.14 M M M M Rain fell in the mid morning.
9/26/2017 8:00 AM 0.06 M M M M Light rain and drizzle. The heqvier rain missed us to the west and east.
9/27/2017 8:00 AM 1.72 M M M M Periods of steady rain fell throughout the day and night and into the morning. Tgere were low topped aupercells in eastern OK with one weak tornado.
9/28/2017 8:00 AM 0.74 M M M M More rain throughout the day with a stuck front.
