We were hoping that it would dry off so that we could get the tiller in the garden one more time before the rain really started in earnest. It was really dry for so long that we need the rain, but, it doesn't always know when to stop.

Gusts are predicted much higher. We will have to wait and see. Washington and Oregon are predicted to be very windy and rainy throughout the weekend.

Several days with 30's during the day and 20's at night is predicted.

Our area has been pretty much missed by the extreme ice and snow storm that hit the Willamette Valley northward on Wednesday and pretty much crippled the area with ice and broken limbs and trees and power outages. The Willamette Valley was hit with freezing fog and rain that has damaged many trees and some people are still waiting for their electricity to be back on. We were extremely fortunate that we had no damage here.

Lower temps at night in the 20's for the next few days are expected.

Probably .5" ice on top of the snow that has not melted, so 1.00" of ice remained. It is continuing to rain or freezing rain and the roads in the valley are dangerous to be on. The forecast is for warming to 43/37 but so far remains at 32. It will be a little while melting all of the ice and in some areas snow that has fallen in the past two days.

This is the last day of July and we have only has .02" of rain for the month which was on the 1st day of the month. It is getting pretty dry all over the area. Personally I would be happy with 80-85.

It was smoky and hazy from wild fires in central Oregon so didn't get up to the 107 that was predicted here. Other part of the state were 105 and over.
