I got my rain gage, set it out today at 10:30 and made my first report at 11:00Am. It has ben raining all night, it started at 7:30PM. I intend on doing a total rain fall sense Ive got my gage hear. This hole front of stoorms caused minner flooding and tree branches broke. for the past three days Ive ben monitoring the situation sense Ive got my rain gage hear. The amount I recorded was 1.35 inches for the hole three day front that caused rain to flood the area. |

We are still experiencing snow and blowing winds and my reading on the board came out to 0.36 inches but rounded its 0.4. Now to the rain gage, was a mixture of rain and snow that got me to that reading In the gage. We had rain after my observation time and I left it in there and it snowed and iced up and thats the observed reading. |

We had a bit of rain and we might be getting more today. As a blind person Ive a really interesting way of making these reports, I compare them to a rain gage for the iPhone and my own readings and if I am in doubt of one of the two I can take an average reading. When comparing it to others readings I find this system is spot on. We may get snow this weekend as well to report into you guys as well. |

WHen I walked outside thinking I would find no rain in the gage as it was those small little drops that just feel so good on the top of the head, I was surprised to find about 0.12 inches in the gage, it rained a little last night and even this morning but I did not think it would amount to that much, I thought I was going to come out and it be sucked back into space and or cloud cover, but thats not the case, it looks like snow might hit the area mixed with sleet but thats in the air rite now, until its actually falling, my radar system can report anything it wants along with my weather models. |

The total for the rain that hit the area is 1.5 inches, as I logged the day before we had 0.50 plus this extra 0.55 this brings us to a total of 1.5 inches in total. As I went out this morning, the conditions were blustery, moisture from the air in the form of fog and winds gusting to about 5MPH, the temp is about 36 but it feels like 32. |

The wind is the biggest factor I see, Its steady at about 05MPH, gusts up to about 12 MPH or higher, highest gust recorded in the area that I know of was 25MPH.

Wow, that is cold out there. This reading was a good reading, next reading won't be as I could not manage to knock all the snow and ice out of the gage.

Please do not take the rain gage as valid data, its frozen in there LOL and I cant knock it out, I am going to just let it accumulate and then just knock it out when we get a day thats not freezing. When I went out and observed the data I also observed snow falling from the sky, when the wind kicked up it really came down, it was hardly there when it was not blowing though. I think there wind driven clouds thusly dropping wind drivven snow, this could be a hazard in a few hours specially after sunset. |

experiencing some sort of rain and snow mix it felt like when I was outside. nothing accumulated in the rain gage, just a real small layer of ice. the snowboard had such a small layer of snow I could not get a good reading hahaha so I knew it was T time and I don't mean the drink spelled tea either. the last 24 hours saw gusty winds up to 25MPH and no damage to report hear. |

We had a few thunder claps and it woke me up around 2 maybe 3 in the morning, so I listened to those before managing to ketch some sleep, so I thought that we would have a bit of rain compared to the last few readings and wow was I rite, I knew it would not be up to an inch though some weather stations around me are reporting over an inch already.
The station on weather underground is reporting in with 1.04 and my pocket iPhone rain gage reports in at 0.35 and my real rain gage thats not ran off a computer reported in this morning with 0.70 inches. If this keeps up there will be a bit of field flooding so I am marking this, rite now its just real muddy but not out of the question if this keeps up, it sounds like its moving away from us, however Ive not checked my radar to check but I doubt that it really is moving away for long. |

at one point I had 6.00 inches on the ground and 7.50 inches on my snowboard yesterday before cleaning it off this morning, and if I remember correctly you guys want the highest point it was before it started to melt, I did not clear off my snowboard until this morning, after doing my report yesterday I had it clear and at one point yesterday I saw 1.00 inches on the snowboard and 7.50 on the ground so thats what I am going to write in the report, though its melted off buy the time I got out there, todays observation showed less than won inch on the board and less than 4 inches on the ground. |

So the board was totally clean this morning however, in my report I am putting 0.2 as I checked last night and thats how much was on the board, buy the time I got to it this morning to do my report for COCORAHS it had melted, I did file it with my office however and shortly after that they ended up putting out an alert as other places were filing bigger snow totals than what I was filing, but the fact of the matter is its on file somewhere. Theres no point of trying to get a reading of the old snow and such on the ground as its slush, Yep, over 3 inches is almost nothing but water. |

I saw yesterday my gage had moisture in it, and knew I emptied it that morning, I also thought I was feeling a drisel type deal, like a thick fog, well I compared what was in my gage to a piece of technology I have on the iPhone witch help me as a blind person take good readings, and low and behold it was indeed precipitation but in such a light form I wwas not even sure if it was falling.
This morning the roads and yards look good, full speed ahead today until the rains hit later on in the week. |

I was tracking the rain last night and it was moving in from the southeast of my location, I knew looking at radar it would not be severe, it fell at a rate of about 0.01 inches per hour according to radar and having a few showers passing through I am not surprised to see that this moring in the gage. we had off and on showers starting at about 6 or so last night, and according to the latest information I saw last night from NWSPBZ the showers are going to be more wide spread today and more rates along the line of 0.50 inches per hour could be expected in some poor drainage areas. We shall see however what the Lord says he shall do.
