8/12/2018 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M No rain today but this week I received 2.96 week ending Aug 12. 2018
8/13/2018 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M
8/15/2018 7:00 AM T M M M M A large failure from models and by the NWS going along with them. Forecast was for much needed rain to fall over Iowa’s drought areas. 70%. This system was a flop. NWS is a joke here. Waste of tax money
8/16/2018 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M The NWS DesMOines office forecast for Tues night was for a 70% likely of a half to three quarters of and inch. For yesterday,,WED it was a 60% likely of a quarter to half inch. Tues night most reporting stations on this site received a trace or nothing. Yesterday was sunny and hot with only very isolated activity. This forecasting is habitually POOR and a joke.
8/17/2018 7:00 AM 0.48 M M M M
8/19/2018 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M
8/20/2018 7:00 AM 0.88 M M M M Much talked about big rain event for the drought areas of SE Iowa did not happen for the most part. Was all western Iowa I did ok but friend west of me only.45. Big system. Big let down.
8/21/2018 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Back to waiting for the heavy rain every one else seems to get
8/24/2018 7:00 AM 1.72 M M M M Finally SE Iowa was a target for rain. About time!
8/25/2018 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Models blew the forecast yesterday eve. No storms developed down here in SE Iowa. all were up in extreme NE Iowa and southern Minn.
8/27/2018 7:00 AM 0.14 M M M M
8/29/2018 7:00 AM 2.18 M M M M
8/31/2018 7:00 AM T M M M M A classic mcs dyer this AM. Nice line of thunderstorms fueled by the nocturnal LLJ died out in the dawn before reaching the major Iowa drought areas. Even as the entire complex dove into MO
9/6/2018 7:00 AM 3.38 M M M M
9/7/2018 7:00 AM 0.20 M M M M
9/19/2018 7:00 AM 0.47 M M M M Brief visit from the cool front yest. NWS didn't expect it. Large scale storm coverage though was ansd is at this hour, North. Which is what NWS said would happen. Is why the SE area of Iowa remains close to Drought map. North usually the most in the Summer and whith this another 90' day. It is still Summer!
9/21/2018 7:00 AM 0.16 M M M M Pathetic for a “srong” Autumn cold front. 60 degree air hits 90 degree air and .16.
