3:00pm rain of .19", fireworks rain .76" with lightning and thunder, night rain .15", very little wind with rain; no fireworks in Ottawa so I watched the Chicago fireworks at Navy Pier on TV where 4,000 fireworks were shot off in a little over 15 min; about 1 min after the conclusion it started raining; lightning hit a tree at Sheridan fireworks and seriously injured a young man about 20 and a girl about 3. |
