10/5/2017 8:00 AM 2.57 M M M M Heavy rain fell in waves during the early to mod afternoon finally letting up around 5pm. Some of the more intense rain was accompanied by occasional lightning and winds to 25 mph. The flood prone streets filled up enough to stall vehicles such as on Elm St.
10/7/2017 8:00 AM 0.25 M M M M A line of weakening thunderstorms passed overhead from the west with a cold front.
10/15/2017 8:00 AM 0.28 M M M M A line of cold frontal thinderstorms passed overhead after midnight. Most of the rain missed us to our north.
10/22/2017 8:00 AM 1.73 M M M M A line of thubderstorms passed overhead from the southwest at ~9 pm. One embedded supercell passed mostly to our north with large hail and a small mesocyclone spun up to our west. We could see the powerflashes from a tornado only 1-2 miles to our west. Fortunately it dissipated before reaching us. We still had some strong winds as the circulation passed jist barely south of us.

2/21/2018 8:00 AM 1.28 0.3 M M M Thunderstorms in thr morning around 6 was followed by arctic fromt at 7:30. Then more thinderstorms followed in thr morning. Rain began to freeze around 9:30 am. Freezing rain and sleet continued till mid afternoon. In all we had 3mm of radial ice.

2/23/2018 8:00 AM 0.30 M M M M More thinderstorms moved north into Norman around 10-12 and dropped some freezing rain.
2/24/2018 7:45 AM 0.71 M M M M Thunderstorms passed overhead from the soithwest over cold air during the early afternoon. This tome the air temp was above freezing point so just rain this time.
2/25/2018 8:00 AM 0.81 M M M M More thunderstorms rolled in from the SW during the morning and on top of cold air. Fortunately the air was just above freezing. The last thinderstorm was a line that drove a series of waves overhead with gusty winds.
3/27/2018 7:38 AM 1.09 M M M M Occasional thindershowers moved in from the SW ahead of a deep trough. We had no wind of any kind with these cells. More steady rain arrived in the very early morning.

4/7/2018 8:00 AM 0.05 0.2 M M M Freezing rain, ice pellets and some snow fell in the dark hours of the morning and continued till ob time. This was the coldest wintery type of event I’ve seen in April here.
4/13/2018 8:00 AM 0.04 M M M M A thunderstorm passed just to our south from the SW at 5 am.
4/14/2018 8:00 AM 0.01 M M M M A strong spring dryline swept through around 1 pm. Thunderstorms erupted nearly overhead dropping 1/2” hail a mile to the north. Later dust came from W TX then smoke arrived with the cold front from a 200,000 acre fire near Seilijg. The smoke was accompanied by fine ash particles.

4/22/2018 8:00 AM 1.48 M M M M Rain and thunderstorms atrived in the early morning with continued frequent ahowers till 2 pm. We had drizzle into the evening and rain as the comma head swept by around 10 pm. Having substantial rain letalone that fallen from the comma was quite rare for this year.

5/3/2018 7:15 AM 1.41 M M M M A line of thunderstorms with mesovortices passed overhead from the west @8-9pm. Ome mesovortex probably spawned a tornado north of Hall Park neighborhood. More storms hit overnight.

5/15/2018 8:00 AM 0.45 M M M M Thunderstorms passed overhead around midnight with occasional lightning.
5/16/2018 8:00 AM 0.12 M M M M A severe thunderstorm missed us as it went from Chickasha to pauls Valley in the midday. Then other storms moved aroond us at 2 am.
5/20/2018 8:00 AM 1.02 M M M M We got lashed by thunderstorm cells that moved northeast and overhead around 12:30 am. The storms produced aevere winds in Purcell to easr Norman. Thesr cells wwre part of a large complex over southwest OK.
5/25/2018 7:15 AM T M M M M Storms closing in at ob time and decided to report its rain thr next day.
5/26/2018 8:00 AM 0.70 M M M M More rain than expected fell from a southward moving MCS starting at 7:30 am with frequent lightning. We had a well defined multi stacked shelf cloud.
6/5/2018 8:00 AM 0.49 M M M M A pleasant outcome from a slight chance of thunderstorms. Courtesy of a warm front coming in from the west we got nailed by one elevated storm with heavy rain and frequent lightning around 1:30 am.
6/8/2018 8:00 AM 0.84 M M M M More tain than expected as MCS to the north moved south and hit us with heqvy rain in the late morning. More rain fell a few mi north.

6/23/2018 8:00 AM 1.06 M M M M A Derecho passed through startingg around 10:30 with more storms til 5 am. Id say we had winds to 50 mph here and more in north Norman. Also mornig thunderstorm hit at start of ob time yesterday.
6/24/2018 8:00 AM 0.10 M M M M A thunderstorm formed just to our SW and moved overhead arond 10:30 pm. But we got missed by the big MCS at 4 am as it wholloped east Norman. And the same goes with the other MCS that formed neae Sparks and flooded them out.
6/25/2018 7:44 AM 2.29 M M M M We had been hit by two MCSs ans almost hit by a third. The first sideswiped us 4am yesterday. The second formed on the flank of the first and roared SE over us yesterday 1-3 pm. The third roared through overnight 3 am. Winds reached 50 mph woth the second but the third had the heaviest rajnfall at something like 1.3”.
7/1/2018 8:00 AM 0.23 M M M M A complex of storms developed over SW OK and moved northeast. Most of the action split into two parts with one passing to our west and another to our southeast. There was quite the lightning show jist to our east around 5:30 pm.

7/29/2018 8:00 AM 0.05 M M M M We managed to get a little rain and some distant thinder from the tail end of an MCS as it tracked through NE OK.
7/30/2018 8:00 AM 2.88 M M M M We got drenched by a bowing segment of an mesoscale convective complex. We luckily escaped severe winds. We luvked out as the main comvective line bulged out thr back giving us an extended stay inder heavy falling rain. Most of the rain came inside an hour. Lightning was continuous.
8/14/2018 8:00 AM 0.28 M M M M A rare August light rain came in from the south with cloudy skies all day.
8/15/2018 8:00 AM 3.69 M M M M One modest supercell formed to our west around 2 pm and gave us roughly .55” of rain as it passed just to our south. Storms later on consolidated to our north and then drove SE over us with the trailing edge of a bow lingering over us from 8:40-10:30. Thats when we got the rest of the rain. Some garbage cans moved wheb the street flooded but we faired well compared to other places in town.
8/19/2018 9:10 AM 0.67 M M M M A MCS swept overhead around 4:30 -5:30 am delivering most of the rain and occasional lightnjng. Rain continued onward to observation time.
9/4/2018 8:00 AM 2.40 M M M M Tropical rains, with some lightning, stretched in a N-S line and trained its way north jist to our east. Parts of east Norman got 6”. All of this lccurred after 1 am

9/6/2018 8:00 AM 0.24 M M M M Early afternoon thinderstorm developed to our NE and moved east but managed to snag most of the rain before it moved too far away. The east side of town has netted almost 9” of rain in the past two days.
9/7/2018 8:00 AM 0.04 M M M M More showers came through from the SW during noon. However we got missed by Storms in Edmund that built to the SW drowningn Moore in a flash flood. Some thunder accompanied tge storms.
9/8/2018 8:00 AM 0.38 M M M M More convective showers formed overhead in the murk around 5:30 pm. The winners were Moore and east Norman again.
9/9/2018 8:00 AM 0.07 M M M M Light rain fell around 11 pm.
