Ground is beyond dry. A backyard hole that has sprinkler control valves for the garden is about 24 inches deep. Usually even in August there is some moisture in the hole. This morning the whole was not only dry but the ground was cracking. No moisture present. Smoke in the air from western slope wildfires. Already a warm and slightly humid morning. |
