bands across West Central FL. Risk for severe storms will increase tonight into Saturday. Primary threat will be damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes. Large waves will be approaching the coast today resulting in dangerous rip currents and high surf. A storm surge warning is in effect from Clearwater Beach, north.
