Storms had fallen apart this far south. A couple of more Special Marine Warnings ensured a a fitful nights sleep. Noticeably cooler and less humid this morning.

2/7/2020 7:00 AM 0.65 M M M M very windy all day yesterday with top wind my home of 38 miles an hour. This occurred several times. Squall line moved into the area somewhere around 10 p.m. It was not intense up here in Citrus Park, but it was in Pinellas County and southern city of Tampa where possibly tornadoes occurred. . A large crane was blown across Interstate 275 just south of Roosevelt and it blocked the Northbound lanes for Hours near Roosevelt Boulevard in St. Petersburg. Some of the TV forecasters were talking about seeing a debris ball. Which indicated debris was being lofted in the air by a tornado, but the newspaper this morning had nothing about this. In fact it didn't even have anything about the crane being across the road and blocking traffic.

(Over the years, I have found being shirtless outside is the best rainfall detector that there is.) I then heard light rain falling on the cover on top of my pool cage. It was lightly raining. The amazing thing was there was not a cloud in the sky except for some high thin cirrus clouds that were more than a 45 degree angle from overhead. The shower lasted for about 2 minutes and was also observed in my pool. I have never seen this type of cloudless rain in my life. Later in the afternoon, scattered showers developed on the seabreeze front well east of me and were pushed inland. This is something I would expect in APR or MAY, not FEB.

4/24/2020 7:35 AM 1.06 M M M M Catapulted out of bed by the weather radio that I keep by the bed at 0510. Had heard it go off several times, but my particular model treats a tornado warning for our area with a lot of extra volume. A radar-indicated tornado was in New Port Richey moving ESE towards us in Citrus Park. Would be here in in Citrus Park 20 minutes. Very impressive squall line noted just coming onshore in Pasco and Pinellas Counties. Very impressive hail or flooding rain signature noted WNW of us moving our way. Grabbed the cat and put her in her crate and cleared out the tornado safe closet. Although there was a huge amount of lightning observed to our W, no thunder was heard. 0530 came and went and the storms had made no progress eastward. Tornado warning was reissued after it expired. By the time the storm got to us, it had lost a bit of its punch. Wind gust today was only 21 MPH and no hail was seen. We did get a soaking rain which, despite the 1.10 inches earlier this week, was sorely needed. Continuing to rain at a more gentle rate at time of reading.

Later a large thunderstorm developed about a mile west of me but no rain fell from it. Looks like our summer thunderstorm season is beginning a couple weeks early .

6/12/2020 7:00 AM 1.65 M M M M We had two rounds of thunderstorms. Initial rainfall came from the NNE and the second batch of rainfall came from a line of thunderstorms that developed to my east and moved west into the batch of rain that had moved to the SSW of us earlier. Noticed lots of ourflow boundaries but no other development from them. 6.02" of rain in the last 7 days! Boy! When the summer thunderstorm season starts... We were inside and suddenly heard this loud racket. Looked out the window and it was absolutely pouring! We had power tools plugged in and had to rush out to unplug them and cover them. Only rained for about 10 minutes but we had 0.22 inches of rain during this time. Looked back at the radar and a heavy shower developed right overhead and moved to the NE. Unfortunately, it made a muddy mess which stopped work for the rest of the day.
