End time estimated from Hydreon and Wunderground at about 1:30 AM, precipitation continued through yesterday's observation time at 8 AM. Rangefinder depth shows 0.28" currently, I saw 0.31" earlier. Target is closer to house. Gage had a lot of snow clinging to outside of cylinder. SWE was by weighing method for both readings. Snow on grassy surfaces and vehicles, little remains on walkways.

Sleet during observation. Rangefinder arm was moved by the wind, so no data from that. Very little snow/sleet on ground or snowboard. Some ice accretion on a few surfaces, about 0.1" or less.

Snow depth is not uniform with some drifts as much as 8-9", but significant bare areas or some with grass showing through. Snowboard was less than half covered at the edge of a drift (the 8-9" one). Overall depths were averaged with highest weighting towards 1" for near bare areas. Winds cleared about half of measuring snowboard and all of ultrasonic rangefinder target. Consider all depths to be estimates of areal coverage and amount.

Average of several readings around the yard was 8". Snowboard was partially in the edge of that maximum drift and isn't representative. Both the "New Snowfall" and SWE from it are questionable. I am leaving it as "NA". Here are the measurements for reference: Snowboard average: 9.5"; Average overall depth: 8"; SWE from snowboard: 1.41" (doubtful); Heated Davis VP2=0.30" (probably some evap)

Actual is probably somewhere between these reading and in the 4"-4.5" range for the 24 hr snowfall.

I think that the snow board depth is not representative and was in a drift. Consequently, the depth and SWE are suspect. I am going to leave them as "NA" in the data fields and just add what I measured to the comments. New snow at snow board was 9.5", and was dense measuring SWE of 1.46". Average of several overall depths was 6.625" and rangefinder shows 6.54". From this, the total depth of about 6.5" is reasonable and reported. Estimated new snow is about 4" averaging snow board and rangefinder delta from yesterday.
