Sat. 8:00am 24º, H=96%, DP 21º, AP 30.27", barely noticeable WS air movement & sunny. What turned to Ice over pm seems much harder due to the melting-freezing it went thru, boy but it is Frigid this am. Very thankful for what looks like it will develop into a strong sun.
Fri Temps = 41/18º, sun was out but not very strong & by 3pm the clouds had taken over & it was nasty. However, warm enough for some intense melting - here we go again, puddles, puddles everywhere. Pastures w/o livestock still covered in Snow, but where the animals or vehicles are, it is mud & puddles.

Emptied gauge of 1.46" from over pm T-Storms. Grassed Waterways (i.e. wet weather creeks) are fast flowing again & we have new "lakes" & "rivers" until the waters can be absorbed by the earth. Branches everywhere as well as polliwogs & buds. Even some drowned earthworms - not good.
Fri Temps = 71/52º, morning's light Rain = 0.08" & it turned into a rather nice day. At 7:30pm the sky to the W turned very dark & angry, 10 minutes later Lightning started, followed a few minutes later by a heavy downpour, which continued at various intensities thru the night accompanied by strong gusting winds & a little Thunder. The N.W.S. issued a Flood Watch from 9pm tonight thru 9am tomorrow as we s/h T-storms w/moderate to heavy Rain w/up to 1 to 2" of water & may be as much as 3".

Temps = 65/46º, turned into a lovely day, not too hot or cold, just a little to much in the force of the NW-NE winds. Back to "don't forget your muck boots". At least the fertilizer the cattle are putting down will get deep into the earth - & quickly. Just wish we could get into the pastures to drag, aerate & spread the compost (including the barn cleanings & old hay), but the ground will swallow any of the tractors down at least 1 & a 1/2'. Then we have damaged feet.

Thurs Temps = 92/67º, cloudy day until about 1:30pm when the sun appeared. A quick "lick, spit & a promise" of Precip. leaving barely a Trace water. At 10:05pm, just as the Weatherman was explaining the the T-storms, primarily 60 mi. SW of us wouldn't affect us, but would hit S Lawrence County, a spooky Lightning Storm hit & continued thru the night into Fri. am., sometimes accompanied by Thunder.
