They are dispersed more like I think of as snow pellets. It is 30 degF now, with light rain continuing (not as fine as drizzle, but bigger drops.) Weather report indicated the possibility of snow, but we have no white on the ground this morning.
11/13/2019 7:00 AM 0.14 0.6 0.09 0.5 M Yesterday morning, just after observation, the rain changed to big white flakes, and by 7:30 am, the sky was white with dense falling snow flakes. By 9am, we had at least a half inch snow, and the temps dropped to 24 degF. We then had sun and some melting, but it never got above 25 degF. This morning at 7am, it is 14 degF, and it looks like the sun is rising into a clear sky.

We are at a higher elevation at 3200 ft than town at 2800 ft, and therefore we got more snow here.

2/7/2020 7:00 AM 2.27 M M M M Rain continued from yesterday's Obs time (7am), and continued solidly throughout the day, sometimes quite heavy. It ceased sometime after dark. There is evidence that some freezing rain happened pre-dawn. Although it is cloudy at 7am today, there is no rain at this time. News reports indicated flooding in the area yesterday, and there were standing pools, gushing streams of runoff along the roads, and evidence of overwash on the roads at 5pm yesterday on my drive home.
