Measurement is iffy today. Dropped the gauge before reading it at 10:30p Saturday. Glanced at the tube before it spilled, and my educated guess is it held at least .75" & not more than .80 to .83". Recorded the lower number: it's in the ballpark but not exact. Thunderstorm rolled in around 6:25 last evening; by 6:30 rain was teeming. It slackened off by 6:45p, but showers continued for a good while after. It was not raining when I checked (and dropped) the gauge at 10:30p. However, the .01" reading this morning is dead-on accurate. It's hot today, and humid enough, mostly clear sky and a nor'westerly breeze 3-6 mph. Barometer back up to 30.03. |
