Began snowing about 7 PM, not snowing very much but about 5 or 6 inches on the ground, wind makes it hard to measure actual depth. Snowing all day, wind is making big drfts in my driveway. I have to go out ever two hours to clear the snow from door or I would not be able to openn it . Wind blew the bracket off the pole when the gauge was indoors melting the snow. Had to reach down into about 6 inches of snow to recover it. About 36 houses lost power in my area for about 2 hours. Hope that is not going to happen again. |

With out more snow or rain in the next few years, we will be a true desert instead of semi desert. Probalby not much chance of rain until mid Auguest when the Bike rally seems to bring rain, maybe in Sept but a dry winter, too warm, little reain April and May , climate will be come unable to support agricultue in this part of South Dakota.
