Snow measured at 15-20 locations in my empty acre lot showed 7 to 8 inches at 7:15 pm. Measurements this morning showed 6 to 7 inches indicating a 1" melt overnight.

Temperature stayed at 31 for about 4 hours allowing about 1/16" of freezing rain to accumulate on tree limbs and branches. Temperature rose to 32 degrees for the remainder of the night. Grassy and elevated surfaces have about 3/8" of sleet and frozen rain on them now.

Waves of light snow continued throughout the day and into the evening. Snow never covered the grass but filled in between grass blades. Snow on cold flat surfaces collected about a 1/3 an inch, can't stretch it to 0.5.

Overnight snow brought on the ground and cold elevated surface accumulation to 1.2 inch. Light snow still falling at 7:00 a.m. Melted snow in gauge yielded 0.13 inch of moisture.
2/12/2020 7:00 AM 0.15 1.6 0.15 1.6 0.15 Snow came in from the southwest before midnight and was gone by 2:00 am. We received 1.6" snow on cold flat surfaces yielding 0.15" of moisture. Snow from the previous day had completely melted in sunny areas. About 70% had melted in shady areas.
2/24/2020 7:00 AM 0.05 M M M M Wrap around shower came through between 9:30 and 10:00pm. I didn't catch exact time.
2/25/2020 7:00 AM 0.03 M M M M Sprinkles began around 7:50 pm with mixed in wet snow flakes beginning right at 8:00 pm. Snow lasted for about 15 minutes with no accumulation.
2/26/2020 7:00 AM 0.02 0.3 0.02 M M Had off and on snow squalls during the afternoon amounting to no accumulation. A larger, stronger squall hit at 5:45 pm and lasted about 20 minutes. That squall left the grassy areas filled in with light fluffy snow but not completely covered, maybe a quarter of an inch of snow.
3/9/2020 7:00 AM 0.29 M M M M Light showers in early afternoon left 0.02". Heavier showers moved in from the southwest at 9:00 pm and remained until shortly before midnight adding another 0.27"
3/14/2020 7:00 AM 0.32 M M M M Light rain and drizzle began at 1:00 pm and lasted through the afternoon. Precipitation for that period was 0.07. A line of thundershowers with lightening and thunder began at 9:02 pm and lasted about 30 minutes. A total of 0.20 fell during the thundershower. An additional 0.05 fell after midnight for a total of 0.32 for the 24 hours.
3/16/2020 7:00 AM 0.13 M M M M Light showers moved in from the southwest in a hit and miss fashion beginning about 2:00 pm. We had a few rounds of light rain during the day and drizzle in between.

3/31/2020 7:00 AM 0.09 M M M M Thunderstorms developed to the southwest of us and split before moving over my site, heavier portions, by radar going south and going north of my location. Rain began at 5:05 pm with off and on heavier showers lasting about 20 minutes.

All was calm until 3:30 am this morning when a south finger of a thunderstorm came across my location with marble to ping pong size hail. It was quick, less than two minutes, with very little rain.

6/20/2020 7:00 AM 0.33 M M M M The excitement began at 5:07 pm when rain drops fell from a strong storm approaching from the south. The aroma was great! Waiting, waiting for the downpour that never happened. 0.02" fell from that storm at my site. Storms developed west of us during the early morning and rain began at approximately 1:15 a.m. and lasted until shortly after 6:00 this morning, blessing us with an additional 0.31". It's a good start to recovery. Soil is still dust at 2" deep.
6/23/2020 7:00 AM 2.41 M M M M Storms formed off the mountains of New Mexico and moved across the panhandle. A lone leading storm built over Fritch and extended to my location. Rain and pea size hail began at 7:21 pm. The line of storms from New Mexico joined the fritch storm around 8:15 resulting in heavy rain and strong winds and some 1/2" hail. Power outage occurred. Considerable lightning, red and blue/white with long rolling thunder occurred. Great rain! Most severe sections of the storm missed us but blessed us with a major and much needed rain. Thank you Lord!
