Went out early Wednesday morning to rake the dry leaves, and timing was perfect to finish the task as it then began to sprinkle at about 9:30 a.m. Rain became moderate and steady by 10:30 and measure was 0.23 inch at 11:30. Measure was 0.29 inch between 11:30-12:30 p.m. Heaviest hourly interval was 0.54 inch between 12:30-1:30. Then 0.31 inch between 1:30-2:30. Then subsiding after 2:30 and ending by 3:30 (just 0.03 inch). And then I saw some sunshine at 4:30. |

Beautiful! It all started shortly after Noon with a light rain (temp approx 44 degrees), and then by 2 p.m. turning to big wet snowflakes. The snow continued throughout the afternoon, coating all the trees, and was tapering off by dark. Temp had slowly dropped to approx 36 degrees (the temp gauge is close to the house so tends to read a bit warmer than elsewhere). Snow measure not taken but looked like about half inch (very wet). |

A brief but heavy thunderstorm came thru Annandale Friday afternoon, dropping between 1.50 and 1.60 inch in the span of 15 minutes between 2:50-3:05 p.m. I was unable to get accurate measure for those 15 minutes because it was unsafe to step outside until half an hour later. An SWR was submitted to report the heaviest rainfall. Light rain continued until late afternoon (total measure 1.72) and then another t’storm came through after 8 p.m. with an additional measure of 0.10 inch.
